lookin for some info here, on an 89 tin top 2 door tracker were lookin to get a decent amount of lift, for some more flex, travel, and clearance well obviously lol.. but yea were not big into buying lifts and all that, much prefer to do our own. so heres what i need to know, how much suspension lift in the IFS is possible with out much steering and handling problems, like if i were to put in some coil spacers and longer shocks, or longer coils ect.. any info ?

2" will be pretty easy to come by, 3" will definently require some more thought probably leading to drop down brackets for the front axle assembly. stock cv's are very limited in the amount of droop, ya go to far and look to be replacing them often.

Hey devil, I made my own w/ 3/4" aluminum spacers and my stock springs. The other day I was out wheeling W/ my uncle and parked next to him. To my surprise my kit made about 4". :o ;D ;D
PS I havent had any cv probs. yet

right on, yea im making mine on the lathe probably tonight outta some aluminum or something, if i were to put in 1" spacers think i would have issues? or should i just do it the way u did and go 3/4"

I have 1.5 inch spacers in the front with no issues. Need longer struts or drop bracket to get full range of movement.

Hey Trev
I had 2 inch spacers in my coils with no problems at all. Just need to extend the shocks and struts.
I am having a hard time figuring out how to get 4 inches of lift from a 3/4 inch spacer tho, must be old age creeping up on me. ;D

Also take a look at this lift Trev. Maybe you can come up with something similar.
