Title: What are these mystery bolts holding?

Pulled the rear seat out of my 2000 Tracker 2-door and removed the seat belts.  Any of you bright young fellers know what the two bolts between the belts hold?  I've looked but can't find any helpful info online.

The picture was taken facing the rear of the car.

well with me owning a 2dr also I would say they are for a 50/50 split rear seat, tried to fit GV seats from a 4dr but the back supports are too wide cause I wanted the split rear instead of the bench
