Title: Cast valve cover questions
Post by: 144man on March 05, 2016, 08:18:21 AM
So I got the cast valve cover off eBay, and it looks like a direct swap, but there are two hose connections, and my stock '87 Sammy has but one.  Which one do I hook up and which one do I plug?  Does it matter?

Please guys, a little help?  Two pipes, one hose.  Does it matter?

It probably doesn't - especially if you're running a carb.

I'm not certain if that cast cover was ever fitted to the Samurai, it most likely came off of a Swift, which was fuel injected - the crankcase ventilation systems on fuel injected engines have two hoses, one to the inlet, and the other to the PCV system - they do it this way so all the air through the engine is metered.

It'll probably be easier to plug the one near the end with a rubber grommet.
