I did some pretty tough trails Sunday in my Tracker. First real test for the rig since I got it up and running. It performed way better then I expected. One thing I ran into though, I was threading my way though some tight trees and narrowly missed tearing off my side mirrors. They are not retractable like most off road vehicles I have known. Does anyone know of an adaptation for retractable side mirrors?

I know they were available in the UK. Try searching ebay.UK for vitara folding mirrors and the word "breaker"
Hope that helps. Eric

I have them on my 93 Tracker. I got them off Ebay and they still have them listed $40 each or $53 both http://www.ebay.com/itm/Manual-Folding-Mirrors-Left-LH-Right-RH-Pair-Set-for-Geo-Sidekick-Tracker-2-Dr-/131811282507?fits=Make%3AGeo%7CModel%3ATracker&hash=item1eb0908e4b:g:GDIAAOSwubRXM5e2&vxp=mtr (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Manual-Folding-Mirrors-Left-LH-Right-RH-Pair-Set-for-Geo-Sidekick-Tracker-2-Dr-/131811282507?fits=Make%3AGeo%7CModel%3ATracker&hash=item1eb0908e4b:g:GDIAAOSwubRXM5e2&vxp=mtr)

I found a pair of folding (retractable) mirrors off a 2000 Vitara at a local salvage yard for $50. They are the same basic shape but there are differences of course. I spend several hours modifying the passenger mirror and the door mounting area on my Tracker but it is installed now and seems solid. I'm going to test it tomorrow on my commute before I do the finish painting and then tackle the driver's side. I will have gained the know-how after doing the first one so the second mirror should be faster and better. Thanks for the input and interest.
