Title: SUZUKI SAMARI SJ413 1987 REAR BRAKES
Post by: JAMES44 on November 17, 2016, 06:20:17 AM
   Hi
The brakes were excellent  but checked rear shoes slightly worn so replaced them all no fluid leaks at all brake pedal firm right up to near the top of travel....after replacing all shoes with genuine
shoes from suzuki dealer the brake pedal now goes down half way even after a hard press on the pedal to reset the adjustment cams.........cannot understand why have now driven it some 30 miles and its still the same on the pedal....cannot see any reason to bleed the brakes as no fluid was lost of course....  any ideas folks ?????
       thanks Jim

Found the fault.....the adjuster cam mech was faulty ...bent bracket.....so not taking up the adjustment needed......on shoes......temp repair bracket straightened now brakes solid again
pedal back up to the top on braking.......hooray
