I never heard anything about Black Raptor but a quick google search took me to Jimnybits.co.uk . Looks like fine equipment but you probably won't get reviews on it on this site because most people are based in the US here. The price is great compared to the 2"  non-Raptor lift they sell without longer struts for only 30 pounds less.

I don't think the 3" lift comes with new arms that's why I think I would go with 4art

I'm from Canada too, I just ordered the AlterEgo 3" lift. They say they are coming out with the 4.5" kit with new A-arms in spring 2017. If all you're looking for is an affordable lift to slap some bigger boots on, phone up Big Country Customs in Abbotsford. They are a Low-Range Off Road dealer so I think with the dollar conversion, the complete 2" spacer lift is $400.

I think LROR sells body lifts too. On my 01 Vit I had a 2" body lift and I just welded a 2" rod to  the bottom (straight) part of the shifter to get it back up to original height.

If you are looking at 4art, you might want to read through this thread: http://www.suzuki-forums.com/2g-1999-2005-vitara-grand-vitara/192657-4xfourart-3-suspension-lift.html (http://www.suzuki-forums.com/2g-1999-2005-vitara-grand-vitara/192657-4xfourart-3-suspension-lift.html)

Seems like these two gents are having similar (vibration) issues.

In 2009 there was a Quebecois company called Masterkit1 that used to sell a 2" body lift for our Zuks but I see they are no longer around. I know at the time they were the only ones who made a body lift that had ALL the bits and pieces to relocate EVERYTHING, including a custom spacer that bolted to the top of the strut tower to raise the mounting surface for the cross-brace back to its original relation to the body. I just went digging through my old build diary photos and this is what I came up with:

I think I had some issues with the holes not quite lining up so I had to hog them out with a die grinder but got a little carried away so I ended up using  these 16ga plates to spread the clamping force between the 3 nuts. This was the final result, which worked fine:

It probably wouldn't be hard to get something like that fabbed up.

I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for the 4.5" kit.  I emailed them over two years ago asking about that kit and they said it was under testing and should be out soon.  And that was after I found a thread on here that was at that time 5 years old talking about that kit.  I guess the definition of "soon" is up for debate.

I was wrong.  Just found my post about emailing Altered and it was from December 2011, so I guess it's been 5 years since I emailed them.  Time flys,

You're right, they have been taking their time getting the 4.5" kit to market, because I remember back in 2008 they said it would be available in the spring of 2009, and it hasn't happened...BUT...they have just released the 3" kit for the 99+ models so things are moving forward! If you live in Canada it's hard to turn this kit down just because there's no brokerage fees tacked on to the shipping, and of course no dollar exchange either. If you're hell-bent on getting A-arms you can always order the 4x4art ones separately.

All this is a moot point anyway because the original question was about a 2 or 3 inch lift, not a 4.5. Sorry for bringing it up.
