Title: 17 inch rims
Post by: kejar7 on June 15, 2017, 07:22:32 PM
Newbies first post
I just purchased a 4 door  2003 Tracker with the 4cyl 5 speed. It is all stock and the freaking wheels are ugly and anemic. I located a set of 17" Factory Rims from a 2007 Grand Vitara. So will they fit on my 03 Tracker, and if they do what is the max tire size I could run on the tracker without lots of rubbing etc. I am not interested in a lift kit installation just stock is fine for me.
Cheers
RAM

I have not confirmed the bolt pattern on the 2 choices but as tires go I have 235/75R/15 on my 2001 Chevuki Tracker which have a diameter of 28.9"  On the 17" wheels a 235/65R17 would be 29" and not a rubbing problem I would think.  Look at https://tiresize.com/calculator/ and plug in 235/65R17 and look at the numbers.  You will see that a 255/60R17 would work as well as a 275/55R17    Someone else will have to say if a 29.5" tire will rub or rub at full travel.

No - the bolt pattern, center hole and offset are all different.
