Hi all, new to forum and asking questions already.
I have a 1987 SJ 413 that currently wears 195 SR 15's (Roadstones), but after a flat, my first in 7 years needing to change wheel, fitted my spare, a Dunlop SP 44 (same size) and really liked it.
Apparently Dunlop stopped production years ago of this tyre, but I am looking for an aggressive tread on a standard sized tyre (195R15).
Any ideas please?

Depending where you are there are a ton of options. I'd suggest BFG all terrains for all round
Pic please

Thanks Eric, I am not interested in AT's at all, I want to get some aggressive tread in thin tyres (195/15). Even agricultural would likely do. Vehicle is slow and used offroad around 20% of the time where I want something that will really work well. The SP44's would be perfect, but Dunlop do not make them any more

Maybe get the TSL super swamper? I think they still sell a small tire. the 195 is tiny... You should be able to fit the 29x8.5 TSL tire without lift (will have to 'bang' the front fender lip in)
I hear what you're saying I think and still would encourage maybe a radial M/T type tire like a Goodyear. Unless in straight gumbo mud, it's my opinion that the ag tires and aggressive mudders don't give you enough advantage to offset the horrible experience the other 80% of the time... Good luck and post a picture if you have one. :)

What tires did you end up with? I personally prefer Goodyear and Toyo tires (http://4wheelonline.com/Toyo_Tires.202664). Coopers are known to wear like an iron.

I found A/T or snow / mud tires available in all sizes and will fit just like the other patterns. I messed up and bought all season tires and then got ATs. I drive on the beach and the AT of the same size does have a wider tread and less sidewall bulge while the AS had skinner tread and more sidewall bulge

Check out these guys, I read about them in Petersens 4wd magazine and they have a few old school skinny knobbies: https://www.cokertire.com/tires/styles/military-and-truck.html (https://www.cokertire.com/tires/styles/military-and-truck.html)

Swampers come in small sizes. 29” and smaller
