Title: 16 V Update - IT LIVES
Post by: Captain_Jack on March 12, 2004, 09:01:44 AM
:)This afternoon we started and drove the Rescue Sami with the 16 V conversion.  Thanks to Brent at Trail Tough he found two simple things we had done wrong.  After correcting them - it started right up.  It goes to the muffler shop to get the exhaust tied to the converter.  Just a little loud right now.

We knew it would have more power over th 1.3.  I couldn't resist getting it out for a quick spin.  It really flies.  This is gonna be fun to drive.

Because of what we are using the Samurai for.  We decided to keep it simple on the wheels and tires.  We have BFG Radial TA's 30/9.5/15 coming from Walmart.  Still need some 7" or 8" rims.

We'll have the Calmini suspension the end of the month.  Power steering to be installed at the same time.  Oooooh, so many things you can do to these things.  Money allowing ofcourse.
