Title: installed power steering filter
Post by: Phase change on April 21, 2018, 12:22:58 PM
Couldn’t help it.  These are cool filters they have magnets inside and filter particles in any hydraulic system, including automatic trans.

Called magnefine cost about 15$ on fleabay.

Is the magnet accessible during service, so that you can look for particles?

I think that you can actually disassemble it although they make it rather secret by hiding the part under the sticker.  So much so that a fellow made a funny vid cutting one up only to find that it was way harder than he expect3d and also that it is meant to be serviced and even replaceable filter.
