Title: limited slip options
Post by: Browning on June 04, 2018, 11:43:28 AM
Is there any limited slip options for a 1999 tracker or is it just lockers and ARB?

I believe SuzukiSport did offer an LSD, but I doubt you'll find one - Calmini used to have them on their site.

It seems like i can find the phantom lsd but i havent heard any real feedback, ill take a look at the two sites otherwise it just may be a rear locker

I've no experience with the "phantom" LSD, but, I also can't see myself ever fitting one - two steel blocks with a few springs forcing them outwards against the side gears - no friction material whatsoever.

Could only imagine the metal flaking happening in there, in any case any experience with just a lockright in the rear? Getting to the point of not worrying about the front and just throw a locker out back, but one that possibly has a little give and not be harsh on the axles...

No experience with the "auto-un-lockers" and they are not an option for me - my youngest daughter currently uses my GV as a daily driver - if I fit a locker it's going to be a selectable unit, most likely an ARB air locker.

I have been looking for a lsd and found some on ebay, made by Jet and they are Russian, very skeptical to say the least but curious if anyone has ever tried one? If they truly work? Be awesome
