Title: 1987 Samurai Ignition Switch

My zuk's ignition switch is on it's last legs so I ordered a new one. Low Range Off Road has instructions available as a free download (see attached) and they call for removing the steering wheel and disassembling the steering column. Is there an easier way?

Interesting. It looks like I could just leave the old switch in place and use it to unlock the steering, then unplug the electric and move it to the new switch.
Then, when I have more time.....
