I believe the transfer case is on its way out. In simplest terms, it drives like it has a cheap locker. Clunks when turning either left or right when under load.
I'd swap out the transfer case, but my current job / lifestyle doesn't lend itself to me getting the transfer case swapped.
Located in Portland Oregon area.
