Title: Engine replacement Questions

Hi,
I drive a 88 Samurai with a stock  engine. I am planning to put new 1.3 engine in it , and have the option of stock, or one with a 100horsepower.  I use it as a daily driver, and minimal off-roading.
My questions are:

 -Will the additional HP make a significant difference?
- Any negatives by doing so?

Any advise or opinions will be appreciated.

Stock was about 63 HP. Not sure what they are doing to get 100 HP out of that. If the pricing is close, I'd go with more HP.
