Title: 87 Suzuki Random Dying and Fix
Post by: Rod Koehler on February 02, 2019, 01:29:53 PM
I've owned an all-original 87 Sami since 2000.  It had 30K when I bought it, and it has 60K now.  It developed an issue a few years ago where it would be running fine, and then just die, and usually impossible to start until I got it home.  It happened on both hot and freezing days.  After having my wife tow me home five times, and replacing coil, vacuum, fuel filter, etc., I pulled the distributor and sent it off to be rebuilt.  Thus far, that seems to have cured the issue.  Anyone else experienced this problem or fix on their Sami?

Three days of driving my Sami around with the rebuilt distributor--that fixed it.  Taking it to the ski park in two days!
