I have a stock 88 samurai that i'm thinking about putting these in. I was wondering what yall thought about them and what kind of price would i be looking at?

Have them, love them, can be pricey.
I paid $1,200 for the whole thing from ARB. Two lockers, air compresser, and wire harness.

Once you go with any selectable locker, such as an ARB (wishing they made e-lockers for Zooks), you will never go back to a lunch-box locker.

I have the rear ARB and lov'in it. little spendy but woth it in the long run. Plus, On-board air is nice to have.

LOVE MY F/R ARB
I KEEP HAVEING GEAR OIL COME OUT OF ACTUATOR.
ANY ONE ELSE HAVEING THIS PROBLEM

I hav em F & R as well, top stuff... if u hav oil comin out its normally worn O rings in the locker. These wont last forever or the surface they run on was not smoothed off enough during install...
Not much steering with front engaged but at least you have control. Very good set up with all wiring etc done for you..

...and as far as I know, Rocky Road DOES have the lowest prices on the planet for 'em.

This may be a low-blow... but I would never spend over $50 on the stock samurai axles... By the time you put in full ARB's front and rear, you could've swapped in locked toyota axles or something of better strength w/ a spool and locker or something...
Just my opinion, I understand selectables for the front, but the price is just outrageous.

Switching to Toy axles (cowabunga) is not simple. Installing ARBs is. The agrument for Toy axles verses building stock is a long and complicated one. Toe to toe, for a truck that will never exceed 33-35" tires, stock axles win the debate.
But I'm confused, a spool or a locker is better? :-/How? An ARB far exceeds the strength of either by a mile. And puts stress on drivetrain components only when needed.

I said you could've swapped in AXLES of greater strength. I still see 31's as the breaking point for suzuki axles - birfield rings and all other attempts to make them stronger included as well.
It's just my opinion... Same like all the Jeep guys putting chromoly shafts and lockers in their D35's... for the money they spend "polishing a turd" they could've put something more functional in there.

Thats cool. But look at the new Ox axles for the D30. They are stronger than a D60. For a light CJ, they would be industrucable, yet high clearance. You'd need several more inches in tire to make up for the ground clearance lost from going from the 30 to the 60.

The D30 is hardly the weak link that the D35 is... Also, those shafts just move the weak points of the D30 elsewhere....

mine came came welded and ive been waiting for tehm to break but they wont (any siggestions lol) when they break im going with a lock right or some thing arb's cost to much
