Title: will nine inches.....

will nine inches of lift clear 34 ltb's im justr planning ahead i lan to do a 6 inch spoa and a 3 inch body lift and how much gearing is needed for 34's?

Man, your spring over alone will clear the 34's without the body lift. :o as for gearing, what is your intended use? Rockcrawling, mud, both? Pure rockcrawling needs low, low gearing(t-case and diffs), mud requires some wheelspin so anything more that a GRS 1 or equivalent is almost too much.

 1) samurai or tracker

2) what type of driving

3) what motor do you have

4) I am currently selling my 33 13.50 ltb tires because they are very heavy (power loss) and even after they warm up they are the WORSE driving POS i have ever owned . they work great in mud if you run them at 3 p.s.iyou will probably need beadlocks .

Dont build your truck up too high.  

A truck with a lower center of gravity that "works" to climb up rocks is better than a skyscraper that has a very high center of gravity.  

If the weight of your engine/tranny sits up to high your truck will be unstable and it will bounce around when you have to hit the loud pedal.

If I were you I wouldnt put the body lift in.  There are plenty of sammys around here running suspension lifts only and they can fit big tires.

I love the LTBs, I got the same size, and sure they are
not a street tire, they kick ass offroad tho, that's what
I bought them for, I rip up the roads on 30 or 31 used
tires on my stock rims.

And 3 PSI that's way over inflated offroad, last time I
aired down, the low pressure wouldn't register ANY Pressure
worked great, you should see everybody looking and
saying "gawd look at the tires on that Suzuki.. "

Well that statement can be true if he doesn't have a lot of flex and he moves his axles a bit forward and a bit rearward (ie YJ's).  I have 8 inches of lift and a very flexy setup and I have a hard time keeping the 33 boggers outta the wheelwells in the front. Heck, 33 Boggers are really 32 inches anyway. Add that to the fact that I run 0 psi on the trail making them even smaller. I think in order to fit those 34's you are gonna have to trim some sheetmetal or make some bumpstops if you only do the SPOA. Just my .02  ;)

 I totally agree with wildgoody about the off road use of ltb tires . i also put on different set on after trail use 33" mtr .  I live in the N.W  anything less than 3 p.s.i unless you are in the snow here is asking for trouble . too much sharp rock mixed in with slick mud.

curious wildgoody how much does your track/kick weigh  my sami weigh 2,800 with out me in it.

do agree the 33" are starting to look alittle small

mud moslty i have 31 lbs already so i know wat im doing and i have the 1.3 that is hoopped (i cant find eanything else to do to it) and im using 4:62 r&p's

May need bumpstops set a bit lower? I have wheeled with Sammy's on SPOA YJ's properly bumpstopped on 34 LTB's and they worked real nice. Couple inches of uptravel is all that's needed. Once a bumstop hits, the suspension, if flexy enough, will cantilever around the bumpstop.

 try and help with gearing question ihave 4.62 r/p with trail tough 6.4 t/c gears with 1.6 16v . low range is excellent   , i know with same set up you woud have no problem turnig up to 35". mine is a little low for highway speeds (65 to 70) .

hope this helps . curious if you know how heavy your sami is .

Yea, bump stops aren't all that easy to put on a coil suspension. Though. My trail partner has a SPOA with Trail tough missing link setup and he stuffs 33's all day long. I guess bumpstops would definately help him out as well.  ;)
