Title: help
Post by: tonka-toy on February 26, 2004, 10:51:04 PM
help the uk save historic vehicular rights of way

the government is trying to ban 4x4 from using country lanes as they say the damage is too great. we need you to e-mail and sign the petition to help us preserve our access to these lanes.
you will see on my site
http://tonka-toy.co.uk
the pictures from when we use these lanes (pictures in gallery)
links below

rights.ofway|removethispart|@defra.gsi.gov.uk ... e-mail for the government group responsible for the ban.

http://www.saveourbyways.org.uk/
this is an online petition against the proposals .. please sign it and help us save our rights of way

thanx

The petition says 'The undersigned voting members of the public '  Do we have to be British citizens for our sig to count?

well if they realise that there is tourism involved it can only be good for us. :)
the bloody ramblers think they own the world
they have access to 100% of the available routes across the uk ???
4x4 drivers only have 5% :-/
and they want to remove that from us as well
BA****DS

bobble hatted .. gits that walk everywhere  ;D

large groups that trek across the countryside.

they fail to admit the mass damage they cause .. hundreds of walkers only routes have to be repaired each year due to the damage of millions of pairs of boots ... at least in this country we have volunteer work parties that repair the routes we use ... ramblers don't

signed it , preserving acess rights is a major issue the world over, we all need to help out however we can, who knows where these sort of policies might pop up next.
