Could spmeone please furnish me with the part number for the K & N air filter that is correct for the 16 V conversion? Looking at the pictures that are posted makes it hard to determine.
Or, the demensions could be crossed matched at K & N's website.
Thanks in advance for the help. ::)

Do you have the air box with the temp sencer in it and the mass air flow sencer? What year truck did you get it out of?
There are different air boxes, don't know if the filter sizes are different.
Assumeing you have the air box, just go to the part store and tell them you have the truck that the engine came out of and you need a filter for it.
If you don't have a box, get one and get a filter for the truck "it" came out of.
I have seen trucks running a cone type filter from K&N. This might be cheeper if you don't have a box.

and i cone might flow more air but it you get in some deep water than it could suck it in the filter. not a good thing.

I was looking at doing the cone because the air box we have has the mounting ears broken off from the wreck. It's a 95 Tracker - if someone has an extra good box we would consider that. It is my understanding, if you use the air box. It requires relocating the jack stand? Any suggestions there?

:D Took your advice and have decided to go with the stock filter. The 16Valve is now bolted in (YEA). I moved the washer bottle toward the firewall and removed the jack mount. According to Trail Tough you have to raise the front body mount 1" and the next 1/2". When I close the hood, it seems like it needs to be higher!!!
Someone recomended calling Olympic 4x4 for some universal boxy spacers. If they ment the one in Snohomish, Washington - when I called, the guy I spoke to said they have no such item. Did i call the right place?

An easy and cheap way to fix the clearance problem in a sammy with a 1.6, is to use a couple of transfer case mounts from the stock sammy setup. ;D

Did ya cut down the throttle bracket on top and take the bolt out? (loose the little cover while your at it) and take a small hammer to the little vac. line hose fitting going to the right looking at the engine? bend it down just a little.

No to every item. Didn't know you could cut the throttle What tube is it you bend? Where do you mount the coil? What do you use for a fuel supply line and do you need to go to 5/16"?
