Do the 2"+ lift kits you can buy include any mods to the length of the driveshaft? As they come with a longer bottom A arm doesn't the driveshaft need to be longer?
I am currently looking into making up some coil spacers for a budget lift, but expect to have to get some hub spacers for the front wheels, can anyone recommend some 25-30mm spacers?
cheers
Steve
PS uploaded some shots of my GV & an SJ laning in wales yesterday, use link below

You don't need to add spacers to the drive shafts. If your not going to go Calmini stay below 2" of lift. I did the RRO lift and it messed my camber up so bad that it couldn't be adjusted for something like +60 of camber. Took it off a wek later it was a huge wast of $$. With out the long control arms this will hapen to you also. If you don't have the cash I would just get coil spacers and new shocks. Or if you can wait and save some $$$ get the Calmini lift. Yes I know its a lot of $$$ but worth every $.

The GV is a daily drive and I think it may feel a bit top heavy with a 3 in lift, I am trying to keep it fairly stock hence the small lift :-/
I dont see how putting longer bottom A arms in and not putting in a longer drive shaft works, surley you will run the risk of dislocating the cv's at maximum droop?

I have seen George's Rig up close and personally I don't think it looks to high. Doesn't even come close to looking as top heavy as a Jeep Liberty. It has a nice stance and works very well. IMHO

The Calimini kit with the "longer arms" has a axil drop brackets that go with it. So you arms might be longer but you lower your front axil housing also.

THE CALMINI 3" KIT DOES COME WITH A REAR SPACER FOR THE DRIVESHAFT....FRONT DOESNT NEED IT AS STATED ABOVE

Can you get just the lower arms from Calmini? I could then do my 1.5" lift to start with and give me an option of a full lift in the future.
Would this cause any problems?

From what I heard, Calimini won't seperate their kits. It's all or nothing.

Thats no good if you bend a part of the kit :(

They will replace parts.
