Went out snow wheeling last night ;D, and when I went to shift out of 4W Low my Transfer case got stuck in Neutral. :-[ I was wondering what the problem is. I would appreciate any help from the season riders as I am fairly new to the Suzuki thing. Still love my rig though!!!
Thanks
Chris

Any luck yet? I assume you have done all the normal stuff, like putting transmission in neutral and releasing the clutch and putting it in gear and releasing the clutch? The transfer case is like a nonsynchromesh transmission; sometimes it can get kind of stuck between gears. Get the internals spinning again and it might get back into gear.

Did ya check out the shift sheet yet? it's that little plastic bushing under the shifter ball?

You won't get it unstuck that easy. If this is a Samurai your problem is a wore out t-case shifter sheet. You can get a new one here: http://www.petroworks.com/transfercase.htm#Rebuilt Stock Transfer Case
It'll come with instructions that a 12 year old could follow. All you'll need is a couple of screw drivers and the new part. Check here for the install: http://www.izook.com/reviews/tcasefix/tcasefix.htm

I tryed putting it in gear and trying the transfer case but no luck. Even towed it about 5 miles home with the front and back wheels turning with no luck. I haven't checked the bushing yet but probably should. Also, I found someone on Ebay that is selling a bushing for about 10 dollars that says it may fix the problem. Here is a link to the Auction, Please Tell me if this would help. or what exactly it does. Sounds like the problem I have is exactly what he has stated. As I shifted out of 4 Low It got stuck in neutral.

Sounds like classic shifter bushing blues, AKA shifter sheet, to me.

My buddy just had that EXACT same thing happen to his Zuk, and it wasn't the shifter sheet. His tcase shift lever was slightly worn, and got twisted in the xfer case. We pulled the shifter out, used a screwdriver to align the two shift levers so the shifter holes aligned, put the shifter back in, and it works fine. Overall problem is that the tab on the end of the shift lever is worn, so it can slip out of place slightly and lock up the case if you aren't careful. His happened because he tried to shift the tcase when the drivetrain was under stress.
