First thing to go. Mine broke on the 2nd time out and I wasn't really hammering on it. Lucky for me, right before I broke it I met someone who told my how to fix it and ended up helping me fix it and improve it with the sammy center section..

The sammy center section has 4 spider gears instead of  two. Besides when it broke the front end the rod the two spider gears are on gets bent. You can't see it but my friend went through another set of gears because of it. The sammy center section is way stronger. Its a write-up here and Zukiworld with all the info.I'll go look for it and link it.

ah...you are reffering to the article where a 4 pin Sammy carrier is used for a locker installation in a sidekick's front differential, instead for the stock sidekick's carrier. Is this what you mean ?

Well, close.  The sammy rear center carrier is machined out to accept the trackers front axles (96-98) into a steel front 3rd member off of a 99-2001 Gv 5sp.
Haggen, where are you when we need you?

HI guy's iv'e been working on my front end. and i was looking at the front diff. i have a welding shop. and i think i can make a brace for the front diff. i see a lot of stock diff go bad. what i need to know is what breaks. is it twist of the diff. and it breaks the mount tabs..or is it the houseing that breaks. if it is twist i can make brace that clamps around the diff and then ties in to the frame. i have a 1990 sidekick. what do you guys think. if i get this to work and it looks good. do you think any one would want one. thanks les

i braced an aluminium axle i had on my vit and it made it last a bit longer ... the only other problem with aluminium axles is the 3 bolt hanger bracket also sometimes gets ripped out, destroying the casing when it snaps .. i had this a few times... save the messing around and get a v6 steel front end .. its the only fix in the end... or copy the rear axle conversion to make an ifs front unit like mike hagen runs . its a lot of work but in the end unless you are using a steel axle you are wasting your time if you push your truck hard ... i broke 9 front axles before i fitted the steel unit and lsd's

I heard that the nose piece is the first to go.  So I just welded a strap piece of metel onto the stock mount, raped it over the nose and bolted it to the frame.

Haven't broke it yet but not waiting to.  Have an Anvil on order.  It was the next upgrade to be done.  ;D
