Title: Oil in the air filter?
Post by: Sami88 on February 10, 2004, 01:09:29 PM
I got a new 87 samurai the other day and i checked out the air filter.  It had a lot of oil on it and there was a bit caked around the side of the air box.  What would be the cause of this?  The samurai still runs good.  I looked at my 88 samurai and it just had a little dab in its box.  Could a leak from my valve cover be the problem, or if its something else, what would it take to fix it?
I have a new K&N filter i'm wanting to put in, but not till i get this straightend out.
Thanks
88

PCV stuck/clogged, not slurping in the blowby and
oil vapors, or sombody oiled their K&N and left
you a present ;)
