hey there everyone im new to the board and am already looking for help. ive got an 87 sammy with a bad rear tranny seal, ive got the driveshaft out but cant seem to pull the old seal. any advice. thanks in advance ???

Hello Dave, welcome to the forum ;D
I got a small slide hammer with a screw
the fits on the end, like the ones you
would use to pull out body dents,
take that and either drill a small pilot
hole, about 1/16" or if the seal has a
groove around it like my trans had and
screw that thing in, now wack it with the
slide hammer and it should pop right out ;)

I just use a smaller screw driver. drive it in with a hammer into the tin metel part of the seal. Now pry it out. Then tap the new one in.

thanks for the help guys . i just finished getting the thing back together tonight. hopefully nothing else goes wrong until it get warmer
