Title: Did a little snow wheeling today.
Post by: Twins on February 08, 2004, 12:54:13 PM
 ;D
I went out with a Libby, TJ on 35's, a XJ 2" 30's and my GF's XJ also 2" and 30's.

The Libby and TJ guys were newbies and had never been off road,  I planned on keeping it simple but the 2+ feet of snow changed that.  I had to push my girl out (by hand) on a hill and the Libby needed some help once but that was it.  Of course it was made easy with my Track blazing the trail!!!

Still amazed with this truck,  the TJ got around pretty good but 6" of lift and 35 buys a lot of clearance.  I don't hate Jeeps but where can you have this kind of fun on so little money.  The turbo, intercooler, and injectors in my GN were $2100.00.  I paid $2200.00 for my Track!!

Gotta love this thing.

(The Libby wasn't stuck anymore but I kept dragging him along for the photo.)

Anyone who lives where it's warm I feel sorry for you (for the first time) snow wheeling is a blast and you don't break as much.

More pics later.

I'm a computer idiot,  I just use an imagestation account for now until the KJ driver gets my site done.

The imagestation account will walk you thru hosting them, and it's free.  You have to sign up but it only takes a couple of mins.  If you want send them to gnnapster|removethispart|@yahoo.com and Ill put them up but it's 11:25 here so it may be tomorrow.

I went on a run today also with a local club 16 rigs in all we ended up going about 13 miles on three to four feet of snow until the snow got soft and a stock tlc could not make it up the hill and we had to take the short cut out, not sure why they did not put him in the back of the pack?  oooh welllllll   it was a good seven and a half hour run with all the winching and stuff I even stuck mine twice in there heep holes a rubicon keep getting stuck alot and really making a mess ( gotta spin them till you hit the skids ;D ) but all in all a good run.

The pic was just how high I got up the hill on my first try.   The TJ got that far after 4 tries,  but to be fair it was his first time off road.  The Liberty did suprisingly well, I was certain we would be pulling him all day but he only got hung up once and was just about as good as the two XJ's.

I had big plans of getting stuck but had no luck,  maybe next time out. ;D
