hey all, just wondering if any of you know of any and all big samurai pictures and if you can post them here, i am about to go BIG on mine and want to see what others have done. a good example of what i am talking about is when you go to izook.com and goto classifieds, theres a banner for rod reyerson's suzuki salvage on the top and there are two pics of two different samurai monsters. cheers, 6feet ;D

I saw a huge Sammy on the White Knight video.
It was driving over a car!
Though I don't have any photos. :-/
-
I don't like "huge" samurais... I personally think a 31-32" tire and lockers is really all you need. Most of these pictures I have saved because I love to make fun of people who put 33"+ tires on a samurai and keep the stock axles. So, that being said, upgrade your axles if you go past a 33, and here's some idiots to enjoy:
Little bit too much lift (tipover):

Needs a longer wheelbase, and bigger axles:

Ghetto-Ass 5" bodylift... just plain STUPID... ALso needs bigger axles:

Nice dually front+rear samurai (note: notice bigger axles!):

Nice flexy samurai:

One of the biggest samurai's I've seen: Actually done right!
Just a neat shot:

Who's that honey zig?
-
There was one on Ebay several months ago. 3" body lift, 4" lift springs, 3" shackles, SOA, stock everything!!!! and 39" Boggers. It was up on Ebay several times.....I think he tried to score $4k for it, but never got close enough..... it was on a car lot to boot. Wonder what the warranty would be on those axles before leaving the parking and actually hitting the gutter in the street. ;D ;D

Yeah, that's Jake's rig. It's cool. He's doing even more mods for this Moab. It has a tilt nose front end too, right Jake?

I wondered if that was his rig, but that pic doesn't look
as big as his Bio pic, that one has bigger tires I think.
That or he got the rig all twistyd up and it looks taller.
:D

Hahaha, even with gearing though... most people running a 34-36 seem to at least go the a 1.6L, however... the 4.3 is an extremely popular swap.
-
I LOVE THAT SIGHT...COULD YOU IMAGINE THE POWER WITH A 4.3 NOT TO MENTION A VETTE MOTOR :o
-
Can you say wheelie? I wonder if its possible....
-
Yes, wheelies are very real!!
My last zuk would pull wheelies in both 1st and 2nd gear!
400 chey small block, toy land cruiser tranny, transfercase, and axles, 40 inch boggers etc. etc.
A guy in Texas owns it now
http://www.texas-offroad.com/Bad_Zuk/Bad_Zuk.html
I have always liked "Monster Zuks"
I can't wait till I start on my Monster Tracker!
-
monster tracker!!! WE need the details
-
I won't even purchase it till after moab!
I've got lots of cool mods to finish on my sammy before april 3rd!!
But when I get back, I will be going Tracker Nutty!!
4dr, 16valve, 4spd auto, twin tansfercase, custom coil suspension/hydrolic rams converted to neumatic, for 18 inches of incab adjustable ride height!, modified mog axles, internal beadlock 17 inch rims, 40 inch MTR's ( I know there just little tires in my world, but this rig is going to have to be a compromise rig in that I want to daily drive it on the steet)
I'm sure I will come up with more plans as time goes. Especially when I go to moab and see all the cool Trackers you guys have built!
Jake Palmberg
-
Jake, could you please post a large pic of
your Bio picture here ???
-
I don't know how >:(
when it comes to computers,,,, I really ride the short bus !!
-
Well I guess I'm going to have to snap
one at EJS and post it myself ;)
Here's one of me :)
And don't worry about the bus thing, kids that live
way out in what the Navajo's call the boonies ride
the short bus too, not enough kids for a long one ;)
-
Ohh never mind, I'll do it myself

Don't ask, I'll have to kill you If I told you ;D
:-X
-
Speedracer, check out this autotrader rig.
http://autotrader.com/findacar/images.jtmpl?car_id=151380799
You'll see in the specs it's got a lot of Yota stuff in it.
-
That LWB zuk drives really nice with toy 2.4 diesel!!
I delivered it to Thomas Bentsens house in Seatle, about a 8hr drive. Tons of torque!! Hard to believe 75mph on 42 tsl's with a 4cyl!
He has really built it up nice since I delivered it, He always builds a nice truck $$$!
Jake Palmberg
-
Now there is a rig I could use!! But until then....I'll stick with my tracker ;)
-
Why would he want to sell a nice rig like that? $$$ for a new project??
-
Do you know what year the Toyota leafsprings are? Are they stock springs?
Later,
Bill
