Title: Leaf springs
Post by: 4x4chevette on January 24, 2004, 05:40:56 AM
I was wondering if, anyoen knew the measure ment of the front samurai spring from eyelet to eylet, and from guide pin to front eyelet.  Is the samuria leaf the leaf I heard about that doesnt have a cenetered guide pin? I want to get away from the 55-75 jeep leafs up front of my chevette becuase they are to weak, and ive broken both main leafs.  Guide pin to eyelet is 18 inchs on them I think. 48, from eyelet to eyelet. I need soemthing clost to thise to keep my wheelbase right.  thanks

No but a warm apple pie would be nice.

I'll make it a simpler question.

Whats the length of samuria leaf springs, from eyelet to eyelet?

If the guide pin isnt centered on the springs (i'm not sdure if it is or not) whats the length from guide pin to eyelete, on the short side?

Just stepped outside and measured my 89 sam and came up with
38" front eye to eye

can get a better measurement as soon as my son gets back and can help hold the damn tape!  :)
