Ok download Mirc from here
http://www.mirc.com/
- Once installed, open the program and click on "select servers" under the file tab.
- In the "IRC Network" window click on "Undernet"
- In the "IRC server" window click on "Undernet random US server"
- Click on the "connect to server" button and a new screen should pop up
- where it says "enter a channel name and click join" type in #zukiworld
Now you can chat the night away!
You can also click on the add button on the "mIRC favorites" window and add the #zukiworld server onto the list.  If you click the "join on connect" box it will automaticly connect you to the chat room everytime you start mIRC.
If you have any more questions dont hesitate to ask.
-
By golly I think he's got it!
-
Join up on chat everyone!
Is there anyway you can make a sticky thread with the chat info and directions, Eric?
For those peeps who are computer illiterate and don’t wana dabble with mIRC, I know there is a Java applet that you can set up to log into the chat room from the webpage. All the user has to do is type in his name and hit connect.
I'll look into this for you Eric, if you wish.
-
I think that would be a lot easier...seeing as i'm one of the 3 people in the irc chat right now. I think a majority of the people here are gear heads, not computer people. Just my 2 cents though
-
Well... I'm there for a short while anyways... I will keep the window open for a bit...
At least I got it to work!
;)
-
I think I got it working, but no one is there? Guess I'll check back later.

I THINK I'LL HOLD OUT AND SEE IF ERIC GOES THROUGH WITH A OPEN CHAT HERE...NOT SURE WHAT I DID BUT MAN TOOK ME A FEW HOURS TO GET MY P.C. BACK DAMB HACKERS..VIRUSES OR WHAT EVER IT WAS.... :-/ THANKS FOR THE DETAILED INFO I'LL KEEP IN MIND FOR FUTURE ACCESS...MAYBE WHEN MY P.C. LITTERATE BRO SHOWS UP I'LL TRY IT AGAIN.....
-
ok, configured and nobody is here.
(can't be quite sure that my channel is configured correctly in Trillian.)
-
I got on the other night and didn't see anyone but I did say howdy to some old friends in #arizona on undernet while I was there.
-
No one is ever on that thing!! Do we have to set up dates to come in a chat?? :o
-
Do we need anything to do this? Camera, or just a headset w/mic? I have ports for headphones but don't see one for a mic.
-
IRC is just text so you just need a computer, internet access, and an IRC client.
-
I think I got one of those.
