Title: Went out TODAY!!!
Post by: lil_Truck on January 10, 2004, 08:05:26 AM: Just got up this morning, saw the sun out and told my wife I had to go wheeling. Ã‚Â We have a small county 4x4 area about 20miles north from me (The Mounds, MI).

We only have about a 1-1 1/2 inches of snow but at least the ground is frozen. Ã‚Â It's been so wet and warm around here that if I went anytime earlier it would have been just a mud fest.

I went by my self but you can always count on meeting someone out there. Ã‚Â After about an hour I met up with 3 Jeeps and a Ranger. Ã‚Â And later met up with a couple more people.

So I've now got my dose of "Man, that's the most kick a$$ Tracker I've ever seen!!!" Ã‚Â Of cource it's always hard to get my head back in the truck and drive after that. Ã‚Â ;D

This girl in the culb wants do build one and i told her she was crazy for just not buying a Heep. lata stu

I grew up there and recall the weather dropping to -45 celcius (including the windchill) on some winters.

It's Edmonton Alberta...funny thing is it was kinda warm today (relatively speaking) about 28F. Freezing rain is the most slippery stuff I've ever driven on!

Problem with freezing rain is its barely frozen...almost greasy...add that to the ice base we already have on the road and you get the idea of how slick it is. It comes down as rain then freezes to whatever it hits...horrible stuff...they get it worse back east
