I'd like to stick something in my rig so I can take movies of the trails. It'd be nice to have it beside the mirror in the middle
-
I'M THINKING 5' 6" BLONDE OH WAIT NEVER MIND ::)
-
make that two thing I'd like to stick in my rig. One to screw my camera on, the other just to screw around???
-
lol ;D
well u can prety much mount it anywhere u want in the car but wont it be 2 bumpy in the woods ?/ hehe
-
2 BUMPIES ARE A GOOD THING ISNT IT...THE BIGGER THE BETTER....... ;D
-
I see alot of cute chicks driving around in Sidekicks and Trackers... I even saw this ULTRA cute chick driving a sleek black Samurai.  :o
But anyways, back on topic, I once had my video camera mounted dead centre on the dash board while my friends and I were out on a joy ride through the dark city streets after a going to a gig...LOL
-
What I used is a rollcage mounted camera mount. I got it from a local race shop (100 bucks) and mounted on the passeger grabbar. Works good but the camera lens needs to set high on the camera. It vibrates a little but if you got a steady cam option it works good for trial riding. If your interested I can EM you a picture as soon as I take a picture. (day or two)
-
I think mike hagen should pursue this..........we're all dying to see what the ground looks like from an airborne tracker! ;D
-
I got the picture of the camera mount. Now all I got to do is find a scanner.
-
I have a welder, I can probably make something if I see the pics. I would like to make it anti-vibration though.. any ideas? I was thinking rubber isolation on the camera mount screws but maybe have to go for springs
-
I once had a guy jump into my tracker once with a video camera and say, "can you take me for a ride?". it was pretty weird sence i didn't know the guy. lol lata stu
-
Hey 1 big, you need to post some pics of your rig. Ive been wanting to see those 34's.

THATS PRETTY COOL ....I HAVE OR HAD A BROKEN TRIPOD IN THE BASEMENT..I THINK I'LL LOOK AND SEE IF I STILL HAVE IT...WHAT ARE THE OTHER PARTS HOME MADE OR STORE BOUGHT ...LOOKS LIKE IT COULD BE A GOOD WRITE UP ARTICLE...LOTTA ZUKI RIGS WOULD BE ABLE TO CATCH SOME ONBOARD ACTION VIDEOS :o
-
Thank you SOMER for posting my picture.
Please excuse the dust, I had to fire the maid.
That mount is from I/O Port Racing supply.
Its 3-way adjustable so you can mount it sidewas on a roll-cage or flat on a cross bar. I just mounted on my grab-bar. It fits 1 1/4 to 2" tubing. the yellow caps are there so my GF don't knock her knees.

I am fairly new to this site. I have an 87 sammy. 6" lift locked, and 31's
I know of a guy I wheel with that has a 46 willys. He has a digital camcorder. He has set up a remote camera lense that he put on a clip that he can clip anywhere on the vehicle. He did some video from different areas including a diff cam shot from underneath the heep. It looks pretty cool, and the remote lense seems pretty durable. I am not an expert on these things, but I don't think it was that hard to set up. Not sure of the cost though.

Put the camera where it won't split your head open. (or your passenger's)

Thats my next move is to find one of those little remote cameras (looks like a lil flashlight). Don't have a clue on where to look for one and how much they cost.

Nice camera mount. But I have an air bag and not a "OH Sh**" handle.
Also, I like the oil funnel holder you have. ;D ;)
-
Keeps the oil from dripping. I may look into those Lil cams. Thanks for the link.
Do you think they just hook-up to a standard cam?
-
The camera in the picture is the same one I have. The Canon ZR 40. It's just a digital camera.
-
So what your saying is thats all there is to it? Camera, recording box(whatever)and batteries. Guess I will look into it closer. But after I get funds for that rockcrawler gear.
