NICE.......... :o
-
That would go so nice in a TracKick...
-
why do all the sammis have the mods. >:( we sidetrack people need lovin too, let the aftermarket hear our roar:
MEOW!!!!!!!
-
Why would you think it would not fit your side track? it prob will and use less parts to boot!
-
well if it was made to fit us then why arent we mentioned in the title? im just sayin we need to hear the satisfaction of it fitting perfektly so we dont have to "modify" it , you know what i mean :)

I went up and talked to them today about putting the 2 liter in a Kick. They said it would bolt right up to our tranny and motor mount. We(kick owners) would need a new radiator, might need a electric fan depending on how much room, flywheel, some bearing(sorry i dont remeber the name) and maybe a couple other things that i dont remeber. The motor itself with computer and everything woudl run around $1500. They havent put one in a Kick yet, but it would make sense that it probly be a little cheaper since ther is no adapting to the tranny and no new motor mounts. the 2.0 with the smaller flywheel is supposed to put out aroung 140hp. Hope this helps, give them a call for all the nitty gritty details.

What models did the 2.0 come in? Did they say if the flywheel we need is the original off the 2.0?

Are we talikng about the 2litre V6 or the 4 pot as fitted to the GVs. If its the 4 pot I want one now.
-
Id most definitely be up for a swap into the tracker. My question is, what about the engine computers....I have an auto. I'm just curious what we would do for an ecm. Andrew
-
I would think that the auto ecm out of the newer vitara would work with your trans but if not the engine is coming out of a wrecked one so why not swap the engine and trans that match in at the same time? does a 98 vitara have a passenger side drop in the front and a centered rear?
-
The computer comes with the motor when you buy it, so you would use the 2.0 comp. You use a custom flywheel i think, dont know know if they them selves make the new flywheel but it supposed to be about 20lbs lighter than the stock 2.0 flywheel. Wich will give you more hp about 1hp per lb they said.

oh it the 2.0 four banger
-
There is a difference between auto ecm's and stick, the auto does not have a flywheel but would have a flex plate if it is like all the others. not sure if you would have to mod a flex plate?

It's the 4banger. We never got the 2.0 V6. Started with the 2.5.

sUHWEET, was wondering when this kit would come out or IF it would come out.

Sweet, I just found out that a club member salvage auctions twice a week, and he will keep an eye out for Zuks for me ;D I'll have to get him to watch for a GV now.

I never really considered a swap until now. My engine would be doubled in size. Now if they only make it for SJ's too.

Do you guys think it's the same boltpattern as the quad four 2.3? also, do they have a kit to make the sidekick a 2.0/2.3?
