Looking to do the 1.6l swap on my '88 sami, have been doing some research for parts ill need to have in order to do it. Any suggestions on how to approach the swap or advice??

The Trail Tough engine mounts means you don't need to do a body lift. And if your not into wiring they can build a harness for you as well.
Which 1.6l are you looking to go to, the 8v or 16v?

Drone helped me a lot with info on my swap, seems to be a good guy LOL ! I would go with the 16V if you haven't already bought a motor. Cant have enough power climbing a hill or running through a mud hole ! I love mine but still having wiring problems because I did not spend the money and buy a quality wiring harness till it was too late. Be cost effective but don't be cheap like me. You will be happier in the long run. Hello Drone been a while......

So i have already bought the 8v tracker motor and i plan to swap the samurai intake manifold with the toyota 3k carb on it since it ran so well on the 1.3 (really just dont want to waste that new carb lol). So far i have the tracker alternator, fan, pullies, trail tough adaptor kit, and a low pressure fuel pump. There are a few little things im going to pick up for the swap like i still need the serpentine belt new plugs, etc. Can i use the 1.3 coil and distributer? The guy i got the engine from was telling me i could but answers online say to swap. Thanks in advance

Here is a discussion, so it looks like yes?:

Don't forget to put a fuel pressure regulator on between the pump and the carb. Sometimes electric pumps take a bit of tuning.
