Title: Just got an stock (as far as I know) 87
Post by: IgnisAcer on October 25, 2019, 04:55:02 PM
Hey there, Just bought a Suzuki Samurai at a garage sale, it seems to be stock, And i was wondering if there is anything specific i should look for if im trying to get it through emissions, It smokes lightly when reved, but that might be cause it sat for a at least a couple months to a year before i got it, Any tips you all have?

Do you still need to do emissions on an 87?

The cat has probably been hollowed out, so a new one might be useful.  New plugs, wires, cap and rotor are the best things you can do at first.  If it's still blowing smoke after a while when revved you might want to check the compression, see if the motor needs to be rebuilt.
