Title: Silly question but what is this?

Hi
What is this for? It was laying up against the radiator but it looks like it may have been attached to a top water hose. Just a cap on a hose. Seems odd. I think I attached a photo or 2 but don't see them. If they don't show up I'll try again.

Did you think of following the hose to see where it goes?  I'm going to bet it goes to the front differential and if it does that would make it the front diff breather.

Yes. I see. You are right. I should have spent more time trying to see where it went. So much stuff down there. That is what it is.
