Title: Dual Mikuni Carb
Post by: 307WYOSAMURAI on March 26, 2020, 04:57:35 PM
Hello fellow Samurai owners. I picked up a 1987 Samurai last  year and it has a dual mikuni carb set up on it. I cant find a single bit of information about them or how to tune them. Anyone on here have any information??? Main issue is low throttle operation, sputters and wont accelerate well until at least half throttle or more. Idles fine. Thanks in advance for any help, working on pics tonight.

Dual Mikuni as in twin carbs?  That would be "non-standard" and I'd say not worth the hassle - consider replacing them with one from/for a Toyota 3K or 4K.

I would like to see pictures of this set up myself.  Any multi carb set up would be custom, and it would be cool to see and have working properly.  More info please!

That was the first version of the sidedraft carb setup. After the Mikuni units Webers were used.  Basically the same manifold as the DCOE setup.
