Title: Biggest tire size on a stock 2003 XL7?

Like the title says ..... i'm looking to put some bigger tires on my stock 2003 Suzuki XL7 since I'm winter tire shopping already. Haven't gotten a lift or anything yet and I'd like to avoid cutting. Hoping someone on here has tried this experiment before and knows about what size tire I could run maximum without rubbing? Currently have on 235/60/R16's

I also have a stock 03 xl7.  I am running a Federal Couragia MT225/75/16 which is in inches 29.3 x 8.9 x 16.   These tires are almost 2'' taller than stock and barely rub at full turn.  I have had no problems at all running these.  It's hard to find a rough mud tire in these sizes but this brand is really a rough aggressive tread that goes really well.  Highly recommend.

That's a good looking unit. Did your mpg suffer a lot?
