Zukiworld Fall Classic 2020 - Bend, OR
November 20th – 22nd
+++NOTICE: WE ARE CURRENTLY MAKING ADJUSTMENTS TO THIS ACTIVITY TO BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE STATE OF OREGON NEWLY RELEASED 'TWO-WEEK FREEZE' COVID RESPONSE. IF YOU SIGNED UP TO PARTICIPATE, CHECK YOUR EMAIL FOR MORE INFORMATION+++
We are please to announce as part of our 20th year of supporting and being a part of the Suzuki automotive community, this year's Zukiworld Fall Classic. As part of our celebration, the first 10 drivers to sign up (by replying to the forum thread) will receive a special commemorative gift. The on the trail highlights this year will be Crack in the Ground, Snow wheeling over and around Newberry Crater (if we have good snow), and the Christmas Valley Sand dunes (don't forget your flag and OHV sticker). During the day Friday, we'll attempt parts of the Rim Butte OHV area as well but do it in a no pressure sort of way. :) Around the camp shenanigans will be miscellaneous, Beef Stew potluck socializer on Friday, and Axe Throwing head to head competition. We could use help setting up the axe throw as we need some light fab work, carrying capacity, saw work, and most of all, lighting for the area. If you could help with this, direct message Eric B.
This free event is for owners of Suzuki vehicles, friends of Zukiworld, and Suzuki automotive enthusiasts that may not be fortunate enough to have a Suzuki yet.

Dude! Luke and I are IN! I'll be driving the Timberdrone company Nissan Frontier AKA Equator wannabe.
We will make reservations for the two of us at cowboy dinner tree this week...last year's dinner was pretty epic.
Since we will be driving the truck this year, let me know what you might need with regards to the axe throwing competition...we will have some extra room.
-
I (Paul Lordier) am in. Potentially with my stepdad (Tim).
This will be my first Fall Classic, taking my 1997 Geo Tracker 4x4.
-
We'll be there!
Davey, Mason, and Ed Arnold / Salem, Oregon / Lexus GX470
*All three of us want to join the Cowboy Dinner Tree on Saturday night. Last time we did a group dinner but it would definitely be easier just making our own reservations.

I'm good to go, but I need to confirm those days off.
I saw the youtube video by "TrashPanda" I think it was the 2019 classic.
I only have 235/75-15 Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S tires. So if the ruts aren't too deep, I'm game.
I would be coming over the mountain, hopefully would make it. Freeway 3250 RPM, OUCH. Ive personally only put about 1,400 miles on it so far.
A lot of it is freeway, 35 miles round trip.
But it seems solid, maybe down 2/3 of a quart (oil).
1996 Geo Tracker 2door. 165k, I guess installing a new timing belt and belts, might be a safe necessity before making this trip. :-)

Hello All - I've made updates to the sign up list...(the announcement is at the bottom of the thread) On the Cowboy Dinner Tree reservation, each is on their own for that reservation... please make a reservation for 7PM. You can tell them you a part of a larger group, but I don't know if that will make a difference to them or not. We'll need some help with camp lighting this year. If you have some LED type lights you could donate to the common area / axe throw, please reply back on what you got.
Thanks, Eric

Put Sebrina and Douglas Hart down as attending. We will be coming from Warren Or. in our 1994 geo tracker. (2.0 swap will be done by then). We will not be attending the dinner tree. I have some solar lighting and rechargeable stuff I will bring. I am trying to convince my daughter to come along and bring her X90. See you all soon.

Good chance I’m in again with a co pilot to be determined. (Probably chuck- his unimog not up for it this year)
87 samurai coming from Marysville WA.
I may drag it down or drive the sammi all the way with trailer in tow. Depends on how saucy I’m feeling.
Can bring a small generator and an LED rope if needed.

BTW - This is Joe Alonzo :D

I just made Reservations for 7:00PM on the 21st at Cowboy Dinner Tree. They currently still have room, so give them a call!

Roster updates made... Don't forget to include a flag in your kit for the dunes and to get your OHV sticker/decal. Out of state OHV is typically recognized by local.
Thanks, Eric
-
Happy Halloween! - more people added to the roster. Reminder about Friday's Potluck. Please bring a can for the huge stew pot and a side to share for Friday... For those already at camp, we'll spend some time at Rim Butte OHV area on Friday provided there isn't too much snow there. :)
Thanks, Eric

Hey all, it’s been a decade or so since I was here last. But it looks like Cassie and I will be joining on this trip!! I’ll be in a large truck and can help haul stuff. And we’re waiting on a call back to make our reservations at Cowboy Dinner Tree.
-
It's good to see this is happening again this year. I am unfortunately, "away" again. It would be fun to use the 2.3 swap. It has been sitting since the swap and t-case rebuild.
-
Yay, it'll be great to see you two. Eric

Maybe next year, the 2.3 swap is probably pretty fun I bet. -Eric

Well we tried to get a reservation at Cowboy Dinner Tree, but they’re all booked out.
Gonna throw this out there: if anyone has a current reservation and is less than 5/10 concerned about viruses, maybe my wife and I could be added to your reservation?
Just a thought. I’d hate to miss out on this EPIC dinner 😢

Feel free to see if you can be added to mine; Reservation is under Matt Verley
-
I was not aware I could be added to another reservation.
If there were a reservation out there that would be willing to have me added, I'd appreciate the add. ... Just me ... one guy...

Daughter Hart (Clairenda) is in, so she will be following us down in her X-90. If anyone has a couple extra hand held radios we could borrow to keep in contact with the group that would be very kind of you. I got my flags ordered and in but forgot about buying some radios.

Hello everyone.
My name is Brady, my wife Alex and 140lb black lab named Sirius will be arriving in the morning on Friday. We are leaving Astoria Thursday night.
We are fully equipped with regards to gear except radios. We have a CB and Cell Booster.
Fortress is a 1998 Dodge Ram 2500 with a Utility Body Conversion and a 12 valve Cummins. I know, not exactly a Suzuki but it's a diesel!
We will be bringing our Soundboks (And everything else) for the campfire. Glad to be invited to the fun!
-
Just got the call from Cowboy Dinner Tree... All Reservations cancelled due to our state lockdown. HUGE BUMMER.

Figured that was coming. It is now illegal for them to allow dine-in services.

I'm in and will be bringing my two younger boys, Simeon and Soren.
See you Thursday.

Cassie and I are so excited to attend this retreat! We are planning on leaving Salem on Friday morning. How early will the group be leaving camp on Friday? And would there be any activities that a stock full-size truck could participate in? The ohv area looks pretty legit from what I can find online.
STOKED!!!
-
Hey everybody! What do you recommend for a radio? It sounded like there was a wide variance in range and sound quality. What’s the best bang for the buck? Cassie is Christmas shopping and needs guidance. Thanks!
