Title: Transmission B shift Solenoid
Post by: DesertTramp on December 07, 2020, 09:26:48 AM
 Sorry, on a 2001 suzuki vitara 2.0L 4 cyl
4x4. After dropping the transmission oil pan. Which solenoid is the B shift solenoid?

At the end of the valve body you'll see two solenoids mounted to a plate - it's one of those two - as far as I know, they're not available separately - at least Suzuki doesn't sell them singly.

Now you have me worried. I thought I had found one. If they only come in pairs, maybe not. Ordered one from Japan. Got a single remanufactured solenoid (supposed to be the one for my vehicle), that's why I asked which solenoid is the B solenoid.

I'm no transmission expert, but, as far as I know that transmission has three solenoids, two for the gear selection and the third for the torque converter clutch - the shift solenoids are side by side at #14, and the third is #16.
