Title: what is the blue / purple wiring connector for on the firewall, 88.5 samurai

Hello all.  I am trying to bring an old beat up samurai back to life and I found a male , either blue or purple ( I am colorblind), connector not plugged into anything hanging out on the firewall.  Could you guys gibe me a clue as to what it might be for?

How about you post a picture so we can see what you're dealing with?  Preferably one where we can see the color of the wire insulation.
