Title: Transfer case won't go to 4WD

 Anybody got a suggestion on why my 90 model bone stocker transfer case wont shift into 4WD? I have Hi 2 WD and neutral. Replaced shifter sheet just in case that was the problem. Didn't help. Seems like the shifter shaft may be locked up. Wondered if I might just pull the front cover with the shifter housing or should I pull the transfer case and tear it down? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Isn't 4H in between 2H & N?  What happens when the shifter is in 4H?
