Title: 95 suzuki sidekick: any issue moving forward I should know about?
Post by: LarryK on July 16, 2022, 03:59:38 PM
I have 100.000 miles. Anything likely to break I should know about. I researched 'problems with sidekick' and they all seemed to involved things that just break. None of them seemed preventable. Sould I change timing belt, etc. Power steering belt discinegrated on my Outback which I should have changed but didn't. Major towing. So I am trying to prevent a similar recourance.

Sidekicks are like pretty much any other vehicle, they require routine maintenance, oil, filters, belts (yes, including a timing belt), neglect them and they just might leave you stranded.  Staying on top of the maintenance is no guarantee of reliability, but neglect guarantees unreliability.

The timing belt was due about 40,000 miles ago.
