Title: Running both stock and aftermarket steering stabilizers
Post by: Turbo80 on February 19, 2023, 06:30:13 PM
Just wondering if anyone is running both stock and aftermarket steering stabilizers on their Sami? I have an 1988 and about to replace the steering stabilizer, when I bought the Sami the guy had both on it but they are worn out now.

Personally I don't see the point in it - that said - I also can't see the vehicle or what has been done to it.  Steering stabilizers are often added as a "band aid" fix to other perhaps misunderstood issues, like bump steer or 'wobble of death" that may be the result of poorly thought out lifts.  He might have needed mode damping that one stabilizer could provide.

Tell us more about the Samurai, maybe post a few pictures, there's certainly no need for two stabilizers on a stock Samurai.
