I don't have a Samurai, but I want one, so my vote is based on how I would build it.  It's also how I'm building my current daily, which is the five door Jimny.

I've been a Suzuki "fan" for probably forty-five years - the first Suzuki I drove was an LJ50, 3 cylinder, 2 stroke, canvas top - but being young, recently married & starting a family, I couldn't afford one - between then & now I've owned a variety of Suzukis, but never a Sammy - that might change soon because I have found one, a tin top that has been parked for a few years, I need to make the time to go talk to the owner and see if he's willing to let it go.

That signature needs to be updated, the SQ420 is gone, about a year now, replaced by a second Jimny, a five door JC74, so we have both the 3 & 5 door, they are fun little things, and not as underpowered as some people claim - in fact, if I get a speeding ticket, it's highly likely it'll be in a Jimny.

I'm a bit surprised to see "daily driver" leading the pack so far.  I would have thought a more purpose built rig type would surface. - Eric

Is that picture on your profile (the green hardtop) your current ride? It's cool... I've been looking for a good tintop to add to the collection for awhile. Funny, I've probably had over a dozen of them over the years but never held on to one. Now, they're hard to find.  -Eric

Yep, Eric, it is, Thank you... I forgot to mention the color change differentiation from original... The PO had it painted just before I bought it... She was trying to match the new Suzuki Jimny's "Kinetic Yellow".... She got pretty close... I think I remember you mentioning that you were looking for a tin top, awhile back.. Good luck on the hunt..There are some out there, but most are over priced or trashed.. Pretty much like all Samurais..
