Title: suzuki lightning conversions
Post by: Mud_Man on December 24, 2003, 05:16:28 PM
Ok, another newbie question:
Has anyone ever heard or delt with Suzuki lightning conversions out of Florida? I like what they offer, however living in California, the S&H would probably sink the ship.
Thanks

I met a guy that had one and wasn't too happy with the total rig.

He lived in Newyork and picked it up in Florida and drove it home.  When he found things that he wasn't happy about he had a hard time getting ahold of them and wasn't getting them fixed.

It's a lot of money to spend on a company on the other side of the U.S.  And if you have problems it's a little hard to return for warrenty work.

The guy did wheel it all weekend with out any problems.

Before you order, ask them for detailed pictures of the hardware and brackets.

FWIW Lightning Conversions will most likely be at Moab EJS. You could look at one of their vehicles there.

Some thing to consider as far as power to weight go I think the stock 2.0 liter engine would kick the stock 4.3... AND... you keep your Samurai transmission... AND... you keep your drivelines.... AND... you stay Suzuki.
