Title: tire size

Can someone explain how to convert a metric size to inches. I ordered new 15inch rimes for my 03 Vitara (hopefully they fit). The dealer says that I can fit a 235/75/15 but it looks to big a 225/75/15 looks like it might be a good fit but I dont know. The stock size is 215/70/16.

Yes, I have a suzuki escudo . long chasis, and its fitted with 205/75/15. But was told I can as well fit 215/75/15, but not 235 or even 225. Thats too big.
