anybody bought aftermarket t-case gears for a samurai? i'd like to go for the 6.1:1 ratio, like this one http://www.asianautopartsofaz.com/drivetrainparts.html
do these break very often, cause there's a lot more stress on them. any cheaper sets to buy that have about the same ratio? umm, certain brands or anything??
oh, and also i was wondering if there's anyway of making it not affect my high range ratio, cause im happy with that, i'd just like a lower low range for climbing steep stuff while offroading... not sure how they work really so i dunno if thats possible
thanks
Andrew

you could try http://www.trailtough.com they have other ratios for less, the lower the ratio in low range the lower the ratio in high range, the other way to do it to keep your high range is to get the rock block that they sell. I run a four to one set and like them. a six to one might be too low if you have stock gears and or axels.

I know a guy with a 6:1 T-Case and now he's putting Dana 44's under his sami.
He even tryed the highbread axil shafts. Still broke them on 33's
