Title: Trogdors Playground
Post by: rkteckt on May 01, 2005, 02:24:43 PM
My daughter nicknamed my Samurai "Trogdor the Burninator" after an internet cartoon found over on homestarrunner.com.

Last week I had a bobcat in my yard prepping for an expanded parking lot, which left me with a huge long trench filled with broken concrete blocks.....and a huge pile of topsoil nearby......

It didnt take much to put 2+2 together and i had 'trogdor' out there bouncing around and throwing mud.

My daughter called it Trogdors Playground.....so there you go.

Pretty cool pics. How old is the house? Is there a carraige garage? Didn't see one. Is the house yours, or just an apartment? Looks that big!!!

Hi there,

Thanks for all the Comments.

Yes StrongBad is one of our favorite family cartoons. Im hoping my wife can paint up a tire cover with a Majestic Trogdor on it.

The house is from 1907, Called the Stewart Mansion, built by the Stewart Iron Works family, the people who made over half of all the cast iron prison bars in america in the old days, including the ones at Alcatraz. The family went bankrupt in the 30's and sold the home, it was turned into 10 apartments and we bought it about 8 years ago.  Its right next door to my parents home where i grew up, so my wife and I are going to renovate it into our home plus about 4 apartments.  The Carriage House was small and was torn down by the slum lord who owned the place before we bought it. there is a picture of the front of the house at http://www.gastrightproperties.com/plans_pictures/details.asp?apt=85&bld=19&sec=ovr

I had my rocky road deluxe front bumper installed today, i will post some more photos to this thread soon.

OOps forgot to say that the top of the pile is vertical, where the blade of the bobcat would lift straight up, i can get my front tires right to the top of the lip, but I dont want to try much more than that until i can take the lip down a little with a shovel...... Not sure how long i can let the pile stay there without annoying the neighbors  maybe a year if i play my cards right.

As Promised here are pics of Trogdor after installing the RRO Crawler Deluxe.  We took these on Mothers Day at a big Family Picnic at our pool.  For some reason my Suburban cousins would not let their children climb the dirt pile with me. But my Daughter is mugging for a picture with me in the last photo.
