hey guys, i just swapped my stock exhust for a 2" exhust, just a cherry bomb and 2" inch tailpipe, my tracker seems to run good on the road but now when i get out in the water it really boggs down, it didnt do it before, just wonder if i should have done anything else?
thank in advance

on such a small engine you need to step the pipe. If you used 1 1/2 to start then moved up to 2 you would probly put some tourqe back on the bottom end of the engine. lata stu

if you have a larger exhaust opening, you have more area of water you have to push out when your tailpipe is under water. Acts like increased backpressure.

Makes sense to me.
But then again, I have 2.5 inch exhaust, with about 2 feet of pipe coming out of the exhaust manifolds.......

hey guys
thanks for the info, i basicaly did a 2 inch cat back, are you saying that i should add a piece of smaller dia pipe after the muffler then increase it again to 2 inches?
i am getting good low end and high end torque, feels like it added a few extra horses, i think most of the sputtering is due to water on the distributor cap, the damn thing is brand new and fricken expensive as hell, and it still give me trouble
anyway thanks again, any more help would be great
