Hi there...Im planning to install a samurai lockright locker into my sidekick front diff.I have ordered a samurai rear 4 pin carrier from my local dealer, what else does one need?
Do i need sidegears, and can i use my existing carrier bearings.Im also planing on replacing the aluminium 3rd member with steel,is it advisable to replace the main housing with a steel unit as well?
My vechile is a 94 2-door sidekick, does anyone know how many splines the front axles are as ive been told that 26 spline is much stronger?

You should of ordered it from HAWK. You will have to have it machined so the Kick half shaft can slide all the way into the side gears. You also will need a retaining sleeve to hold the pins in place (unless your running 5.83's) Unless you have your own machine shop or a friend that can do it for you, you will save your self alot of trouble by canceling the dealer order and giving Hawk a call.
As for beefing up the front end check out the main page of zukiworld for one idea, and the articke archives has a build the Hutch did to his kick.

Zig
Or GV/XL7 gears (neither a "can" or "spacer" is required).

i'm guessing that you have 22 splines in the front and 26 in the rear.
