I have a Samurai with a lockright locker in the rear , I went out four wheelin today , on the way I noticed the pulling to one side like the wind was blowing (on and off ..) well I didnt do any real hard wheelin but when I was almost home I would hear a clunk and and a pull to the left at the same time .. they roads are wet today would that have any effect on my locker ? and I just checked the air in the tires day before yesterday guess I should do it again .. what do yall think the prob is ?

Sounds like only one side is engaging. It could be something went wrong during the install. If you 'punch it' it pulls left, correct? If you down shift and let off does it pull to the right? Clunk and pull is normal during gear shifts when you get a serious unlock. It shouldn't be every time but once in awhile. Did you leave in the sidegear shims?
This is a hard diagnosis because lockers can behave badly and be normal. Is this your first locker? Have you riden in your friends locked rigs? and have those rigs acted differently (better)?

we are talkin steady speed strait line , and everyonce in a while it will pull to the left , at slower speeds you can hear a clunk ... Im starting to think you have to be going strait for a while before itll start I think turning might reset it , do know. gonna go check it out this morning see if I can get it to do it again .. thanks for any help you can give ..

Sounds like either a shear pin is missing/damaged, or maybe the springs weren't installed correctly. Eric might be right on the shims being left in, but that would probably cause it not to release when it should. I have one in my Sammi, and the only time I get clunks is cornering. Getting on and off the throttle sometimes makes the nose twitch a little, but when driving down the road in a straight line I get no clunks and it tracks fine.

clunking locker, my buddies locker started doing that for no apparent reason . one day eventually got really anoying pulled it out and had the axle checked for straightness at BREEZE INDUSTRIES . the axle housing was slightly bent (curved) got a new housing transfered everything over to the new housing problem was gone .they said it was related to the spring-over conversion and not using proper spring saddles ,and over-tightening the u-bolts

Well it seems that it might have been the wet streets cause today it didnt do it not once ... I dont know what shims yall are talking about I dont remember any , I do remember it telling me to turn the washers upside down which was odd ... So far the only time I notice it releasing is when I turn corners and have the clutch in .. other wise it never does ... I did have a concern about putting a senthetic blend in it instead of strait oil ? anyway thanks alot guys Ill start a new post with my wheeling experiance of today ...
